Excellent news! Congratulations to François for winning a CIHR grant for the project entitled: “Characterization of a novel function for PABPN1: the product of the oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy disease gene“.
New work from the Bachand lab shows that the nuclear poly(A)-binding protein PABPN1 stimulates coupling between polyadenylation and terminal intron splicing. This work was accepted from publication in the RNA Journal. Congratulations to Lauren Kwiatek, Anne-Marie Landry-Voyer, Mélodie Latour, and Carlo Yague-Sanz (not on picture)!
